In 2003 the South African Cabinet approved the use of antiretrovirals (ARVs) in the public sector and in early 2004 the programme started. This article reports on the march in Pretoria involving hundreds of men and women, including cabinet ministers in support of the 16 Days of Activism campaign against gender-based violence.

This article reports on the call by the South African cabinet for men to participate in the planned Million Men's Marches in cities throughout the country on Sunday 25 November 2007, the launch of the 16 Days Campaign.

In this article the South African Deputy President calls on all South Africans to build on the successes of past campaigns against violence against women. She particularly highlights the need to work with men, and the need for more initiatives like the One Man Can campaign.
