Sikhangele Mabulu

Sikhangele Mabulu, or SK as he is known to colleagues and friends, has been working for Sonke since August 2009. He is a Senior Trainer in the Prisons Project.

He previously worked at TAC as the Community Health Advocacy Coordinator in the Ekurhuleni district, Gauteng. He also served as the TAC Provincial Organiser for the Western Cape and Klipfontein District Organiser, from 2006 to 2009.

He studied Project Management at Damelin College and at UNISA and he is currently studying to become a paralegal at the South African Law School.

SK has a wide range of skills and training, having completed courses in Gender Communication skills, HIV Peer Education, Journalism, Supervision, Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses and Crime Prevention and Mediation, amongst others.

He has held several leadership positions, including TAC Oostenberg/Northern District Chairperson and Provincial Chairperson. He is currently an Awethu Social Justice Western Cape convenor, representing the coalition at National level.
