One Man Can Campaign

Sonke launched the One Man Can Campaign in November 2006. It is now being implemented in eight of South Africa's nine provinces, and in Burundi, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia and Uganda.

The Campaign

The campaign promotes the idea that each one of us has a role to play, that each one of us can create a better, more equitable and more just world. At the same time, the campaign encourages men to work together with other men and with women to take action - to build a movement, to demand justice, to claim our rights and to change the world.

The Toolkit

One Man Can logo The toolkit is a set of resources that support men and boys to take action to end domestic and sexual violence and to promote healthy, equitable relationships that men and women can enjoy - passionately, respectfully and fully.

You can download the components of the toolkit, in various languages (English, French, Xhosa, Zulu and Afrikaans):

You can also download the complete toolkit. The materials also include a DVD and CD, which can be requested from Sonke.
